Robert Breaden
The Rev Canon Robert William Breaden 〔( Diocese of Argyll and The Isles )〕 was Dean of Brechin from 1984〔”Scottish Episcopal Clergy, 1689-2000” Bertie, D.M: Edinburgh T & T Clark ISBN 0-567-08746-8 p549〕 until 2007.
He was born on 7 November 1937,〔‘BREADEN, Very Rev. Robert William’, Who's Who 2013, A & C Black, an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing plc, 2013; online edn, Oxford University Press, Dec 2012 ; online edn, Nov 2012 (accessed 19 July 2013 )〕 educated at The King's Hospital and ordained in 1962.〔''Crockford's Clerical Directory 1975-76'' p115 London: OUP 1976 ISBN 0-19-200008-X〕 He was a Curate at Broughty Ferry and then Rector of the Church of the Holy Rood, Carnoustie from 1965 to 1972. That year he returned to Broughty Ferry and also became a Canon of St Paul's Cathedral, Dundee.
